I freely admit that I have al;ways enjoyed John Oliver's show. I try to watch it every week, and I usually learn something, and occasionally have my mind expanded on a few things.
This week, he absolutely made what I think is the best episode of his career, and I think what makes it so great is that he's a Brit, and therefore has a wider view on the way we teach history than an American might.
It's almost like he comes off as a surprised, but interested party here, and there's no "partisan" angle to this, just honest debate about what ramifications there are to teaching history badly.
I can't recommend it enough, and I hope you watch it right now!
